Gail Hiller has always been an artist. She drew and painted at a young age, and later discovered pottery. She hasĀ been a potter for over 20 years.
When her husband lost his job, the idea and the Michigan poem were born as a result of her prayers. The tiles, plates, and bowls became a symbol of hope and inspiration to many people who were in the same position as her husband.
She began selling them in galleries and art fairs. They have been mailed all around the country and to several countries around the world, and also to the governor of Michigan.
Gail is a firm supporter of the State of Michigan, knowing that this great state will come back even stronger from its economic struggles.
Gail Hiller lives in Beverly Hills, Michigan.
